Privacy Policy
ChefLab is a personal toolkit for technical cooking: curing and brining math, pasteurization holds, a physics-based egg timer, and an optional hydrocolloid lab. It is educational software for home cooks — not a medical device, not HACCP, and not affiliated with any appliance or scale brand.
Short version: your batches live on your phone. We don’t run a ChefLab account system, we don’t sell your salt percentages, and we don’t sprinkle ad trackers on your coppa. The lab notebook stays in your pocket — next to the crumbs, the pink salt, and the thermometer you swear you calibrated last year.
Data on your device
- Calculations, saved projects, and observation notes (on-device database)
- Unit and language preferences
- Kitchen height for the egg timer is a number you type — sea level unless you set it. ChefLab does not read GPS, barometer, or motion sensors
Data we send
- None required to use the calculators
- Apple processes optional Texture Lab Unlock purchases (StoreKit). We do not receive your card details
- No advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics trackers
- No ChefLab user account is required
Your choices
- Delete individual projects from the notebook
- Uninstall the app to remove all on-device data
